Fill in your details, then scroll down and hit + Add to my log on anything you listen to or read (or add your own below). Set the date and length on each row — it tallies your hours as you go and saves to your browser. When you are ready, print it to a PDF for your records.

How many CEUs do I need?

For the current 2024–2026 reporting period, both your total requirement and how much you can claim from each category depend on when you certified (deadline Dec 31, 2026):

Your certification dateTotal CEUs requiredMember fee
Certified before 20246.0 CEUs$65
Certified during 20244.0 CEUs$55
Certified during 20252.0 CEUs$45
Certified Jan 1 - Jun 30, 20261.0 CEU$35
Certified Jul 1 - Dec 31, 20260 CEUs$0
How podcasts & reading count: they fall under Category C – Personal Development, awarded at 0.5 CEU per year for completing at least 5 hours of activities (a threshold, not a per-hour rate). You can only count years after your certification date through Dec 31, 2026 — so up to ~1.5 CEU over a full 3-year cycle, but closer to 0.5 if you certified recently. Personal Development alone usually won’t reach your total, so combine it with another category (e.g., Category D quizzes at 0.2–1.0 CEU each, live events, or college coursework). Always confirm the rules on your own account at nsca.com.

Finishing your CEUs (beyond the 0.5)

Since podcasts & reading max out at 0.5 CEU per year, most people need a little more. The two easiest ways:

• First Aid certification — 0.5 CEU (Category C). If your CPR course also covered First Aid, you may already have it. (CPR/AED renewals on their own do not count.)
• Free NSCA quizzes — 0.2–1.0 CEU each (Category D), tied to Strength and Conditioning Journal articles and NSCA videos.

Find both on your account at nsca.com/recertify.
