This Privacy Policy describes how Liftaroo ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Services"). By using Liftaroo, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Liftaroo offers a premium subscription through Apple's in-app purchase system. All payment processing is handled by Apple and RevenueCat. We do not store your payment card information. You may sign in to Liftaroo using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. When you use these services, we receive basic profile information such as your name and email address from the respective provider. We use this information only to create and manage your Liftaroo account. We recommend reviewing Apple's and Google's privacy policies for information on how they handle your data.
Your workout data and account information are stored securely using Firebase, a Google Cloud service. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
Liftaroo may request access to your device's calendar to schedule workout reminders. We only write to a dedicated Liftaroo calendar on your device and never access or modify your existing calendar events. You can revoke calendar access at any time in your device Settings.
If you grant permission, Liftaroo reads health and fitness data from Apple Health on iOS and from Health Connect on Android. The categories we may read include: steps, weight, body composition (body fat %, lean body mass, BMI), resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), VO2 max, sleep stages, floors climbed, distance walked or run, and workouts logged by your Apple Watch, Garmin, Withings, or other connected devices. We use this data to display your progress in the app and to power Auto Export if you enable it. We also write your completed Liftaroo workouts and weight entries back to Apple Health / Health Connect so all your fitness data stays in one place. All health data stays on your device unless you explicitly enable Auto Export to a destination you control. You can revoke health-data access at any time in your device's Settings → Privacy → Health (iOS) or Settings → Apps → Health Connect (Android).
If you choose the AI Guided mode and grant explicit consent in the app, Liftaroo sends a limited subset of your workout data to Anthropic's Claude API (claude-haiku-4-5) to generate personalized program suggestions and weekly check-in insights. The data we send to Anthropic includes: your workout history (exercise names, sets, reps, weights), your training preferences (goals, equipment, schedule), and your current program structure. We do not send your name, email, weight, body composition, heart rate, sleep, location, or any other personal identifier. Per Anthropic's API terms, your data is not used to train Anthropic's models. You can review Anthropic's privacy practices at anthropic.com/legal/privacy. AI Coach is optional — you can disable it at any time in Settings → AI Coach, and AI Coach data sharing requires your explicit in-app consent before any data is transmitted.
Liftaroo offers an optional "Auto Export" feature that lets you forward your own fitness data nightly to a destination you control (such as a personal webhook endpoint, Notion, or Google Sheets). You configure the destination URL and any required authentication token yourself; we do not select destinations on your behalf. When Auto Export is enabled, Liftaroo sends the metric categories you have selected (weigh-ins, daily metrics, workouts) to the destination you specified. Authentication tokens for export destinations are stored on your device using Expo SecureStore (which uses iOS Keychain or Android Keystore); they are never transmitted to or stored on Liftaroo's servers. You can disable Auto Export or delete any destination at any time from Settings → Data → Auto Export.
Liftaroo uses Sentry to collect crash reports and performance diagnostics so we can fix bugs. Crash reports include the technical stack trace, your app version, and your Firebase user ID (so we can investigate which user encountered a specific issue), but exclude any other personal information. Sentry processes this data on our behalf as a service provider. You can review Sentry's privacy practices at sentry.io/privacy.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable time, except where we are required to retain it by law.
Liftaroo is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at support@liftaroo.app.
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete your data. To exercise these rights, please contact us at support@liftaroo.app. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe.
